Day three of the Austin City Limits Music Festival on October 6 was the perfect culmination of an unforgettable weekend, with an eclectic lineup that had something for everyone. From emerging talent to established names, the day was packed with captivating performances.
FLO kicked off the day with a set that instantly set a high-energy tone. Their smooth harmonies and infectious pop grooves had the crowd moving and singing along from the first note. With tracks that blended R&B and contemporary pop, FLO showcased their undeniable talent and charisma, making it clear they are a rising force in the music scene.
Next up, Glass Beams took the Tito’s stage and delivered a mesmerizing performance. Their dreamy soundscapes and ethereal vocals created an atmospheric experience that transported the audience. The connection they built with the crowd was visible, drawing us into their world with every song. It was a refreshing change of pace that added depth to the day.
Bakar followed with an electrifying set that combined elements of rock, pop, and hip-hop. His raw energy and charismatic stage presence had the audience captivated. Bakar’s hits, including “Hell N Back,” had everyone bouncing and vibing, proving that he knows how to command a festival crowd.
Next up was Orville Peck who brought a unique flair to the stage. With his signature mask and deep, haunting voice, he captivated the audience with a blend of country and indie rock. Songs like “Dead Of Night” echoed through the park, showcasing his storytelling prowess and leaving everyone in awe of his artistry.
As the sun set, Chappell Roan comanded the American Express stage with a set that was equal parts fun and fabulous. Her vibrant personality and catchy pop anthems had the crowd in high spirits. With tracks that explored themes of love and self-acceptance, Chappell’s performance was a joyous celebration that resonated deeply with the audience.
Finally, the moment we had all been waiting for: Tyler, the Creator. His presence lit up the stage, and the energy in the crowd was electric. From the first beat of “LEMONHEAD” to the finale, Tyler delivered a show that was both visually stunning and musically powerful. His dynamic performance style and engaging interaction with the audience made for a truly memorable experience. Hits from across his discography had everyone singing along, creating a sense of unity and joy that encapsulated the spirit of ACL.
As the festival wrapped up, I left feeling grateful for the incredible performances and the vibrant community that music creates. Day three was a fitting finale to an amazing weekend at ACL, reminding us all of the power of live music to bring people together. I can’t wait for next year!
